If you are looking for a different activity while still visiting the winery facilities, the glass in hand visit to La Botera is your wine tourism experience.
During your visit to La Botera you will be welcomed at the winery’s store where you will be offered an exhibition about the origin and history of Terra Alta, the region where the winery is located, as well as the village to which it belongs. All participants will be introduced to the world of wine, after which the tasting of the first wine will begin. Here you will start an itinerary through the facilities, glass in hand, to taste some wines during the tour and finally culminate in the aging room. The experience will end in the Tasting Room with a tasting of the last wine and a space for questions and concerns.
The winery
La Botera
has two locations: the older one, located in the Batea center, is where La Botera was founded, and the new winery, which was inaugurated in 2018 and is in a 4-story building that is located at the roadside, right next to the main entrance to the village. The winery has a total surface area of approximately 3,500 m² distributed between the grape reception and vinification area, the winemaking room -with large tanks-, the barrel room -where the aging process takes place-, the bottling area, the warehouse, the laboratory, the store and the tasting room.
