Located in the Leonese town of ValdevimbreThe winery, close to the Camino de Santiago, and famous for its centenary caves where wine was once made, has modern facilities, being the first in the region to use stainless steel truncated cone-shaped tanks and a temperature control system for fermentation.
Pardevalles has the recognition of being one of the driving forces behind the D.O. LeĆ³n, betting on the development of the native varieties, Prieto Picudo and AlbarĆn Blanco .
This visit in Pardevalles begins in the vineyard, discovering the native varieties Prieto Picudo and AlbarĆn Blanco, their history and evolution. Here you will be able to feel the terroir with your hands, learn about viticulture and the techniques practiced in their vineyards. Later they will go into the winery to discover the different types of wine they produce: white, rosĆ© and red.
The winery has 38 hectares of its own vineyards of native varieties, in which precision viticulture is developed to obtain grapes of the highest quality. The vineyards are planted on quaternary soils with a large amount of boulders that accumulate the sun’s heat during the day to help the plant withstand the low temperatures at night, as well as to improve the ripening of the grapes.
At Pardevalles you will learn about traditional winemaking processes and the application of the latest technologies, as well as the aging and preservation of wine. The 5 senses visit will end with a wine tasting paired with seasonal products to say goodbye to this winery with a good taste in your mouth and the best of memories.
This experience will last approximately 2 hours and will take place on Saturdays starting at 12:00 noon.
